Start of Construction
Lewis IOR’s study the plans and spec’s prior to the start of construction.
We have a process of reviewing the plans and informing the contractor of the quality requirements, thus minimizing errors.
Project Close-Out
Our close-out process begins at the start of construction. We oversee and obtain all inspection reports, helping the Design Professionals achieve
“Project closed with Certification.”
DOJ Clearance
All of our inspectors are cleared to work on Public School Sites through the Department Of Justice Live Scan Finger Print Approval process.
Managing Special Inspectors
Our IOR’s coordinate and oversee all Special Inspections as well as the Lab itself. We make sure all inspections and tests are performed and all reports are collected. We also supply DSA and ICC Certified Special Inspectors.
Surveys
If requested by a School District, Municipality or Property Owner, we perform a confidential visual survey of existing conditions. Surveys are performed by DSA Certified Inspectors and typically cover:
- Structual
- Fire Life Safety
- ADA Compliance
- Egress
SWPPP
The Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan is typically performed by the Contractor, overseen by the City Municipality and the State Water Control Board. As of July 2010 the final responsible party is the property owner. Lewis IOR’s assist and enforce this requirement (Protecting the Owner).
Safety
We keep an open eye at all times for unsafe work practices and unsafe conditions. When one is observed we immediately notify the worker, the project superintendent and the construction manager. Keeping an eye out for unsafe conditions is everybody’s business.
